My dream house I would like my house to be situated
somewhere in Switzerland. I can t definitly say that it is typically Sweden or English or
American. The same concerns the style of this house. It is succesfully combined modern and
country style. The house is surrounded by the garden. There is also a swimming-pool
infront of the house and a tennis court.
As you come in through the front door, you
find yourself in a large hall that transformed info a sunny area with the help of yellow
colour. This design creates a light space that makes a relaxing entrance into any house.
The walls are light yellow and the ceiling is brilliant white for a clean look. The start
bahisters and the spindles are patterned with clean white gloss. The honeycomb wool carpet
is placed on the floor and up the stairs. As a finishing touch the hall is dressed with
plants. A large pine at mirror on the wall opens up the area and reflects the light back
into the room. The look is completed with classic framed pictures on the wall.
One of the doors on the left of the hall leads into the living-room. It is rectangular in
shape and it seemed to me that it is rather uncommon and interesting shape for
living-room. It is furnished in cream colors. Soothing natural colors sheme of this design
draws light into the room. Maple wood flooring and dull gold accessories complement the
linen hues and textured plaster work. The walls are painted in cream colour that enhances
the feeling of light. The walls are decorated with gold wire made in a star shape. The
ceiling is covered with dry plaster that formed into shapes and patterns. The flooring is
laminated. The rugs are placed into the deepenings in the floor. The wire stars on the
walls complement with similar pattern on the cushions. It enhances the symmetrical theme.
The design is completed with many square sections matches the black plant nicely trimmed
in round shape. Other pieces of organic ornaments and wooden bootles, a table, a coach and
a sofa are of the cream colour.
To the right of the hall there is a study. Purple and yellow colours are
dominating in the room. One wall is painted in shades of
lavender. It s where the corner desk is placed. Another one where there is a big window is
in shades of lime. I think the most interesting feature in this study is a desk with
curved and clean lines. It is completed with a well-designed office chair. The rooms
accessories with chrome light fittings and funky modern pictures.
Also on the ground floor there is a kitchen, that I like most of all. It is simple but
uncommon. The shape of the room and blue colours make it cosy and modern. The walls are
blue. There is inscription La Fromagerie on the wall, it is painted with darker shade of
blue. Kitchen doors are painted with white
emulsion and then covered with furniture max. Door handles update the look. They made in
the form of silver cups. The old lamps make the view modern, they look line ornaments.
They are painted in blue. The items of kitchen furniture are blue. The only element a gas
stove is of a black colour. A wooden table gives a farmhouse feeling. The floor matches
the table.
A wide staircase takes you to the first floor, where there are three
bedrooms. One is for me and others are for my future husband and baby.
My bedroom is simple, the
ceiling is painted in pale colour. The walls are fresh cream. An attractive patterned
fabric is used for curtains, seat covers and for other soft furnishings. Above the bed
there is a linen, covered with stencilling pattern. The walls are decorated with sceleton
of a dried leaf. The leaf is carefully brushed on pink paint and put into the wall and
covered with a piece of paper and smoothed into the wall. Then the leaf and paper are
gently removed, leaving behind an imrint of the leaf s veins. At the foot of the bed there
is a rug that consists of several different fabrics joining together.
Having crossed the landing you can go into the bathroom. A curvy design and a
walk-through shower together with privacy and good ventilation are key to this palace of
relaxation. The bathroom incorporates
curved walls and an egg-shaped bath and a mirror to maximise the use of available space.
In order to increase the height of the room, the windows are removed and a skylight is
installed. Recesses are built into the curved walls in which various things are kept.
Small cilcular white mosaic tiles continue the theme of curves and give the bathroom a
clean feel. Instead of installing a shower in the bath it is placed in the middle of the
room.
An elegant curved shape of the bath fits the dezign theme and maximises the use of space.
