Let me tell you about my dream house. I think everyone wants to have their own dream house. Because house is a part of our life. We spend most of our time in the house. That is why it must be cosy and convenient. We must have house where we can relax, where we can think of our life, where we can be happy. As for me my dream house must be big and light. I like light because it
is life. My dream house must be a two storeyed cottage with attic. On the ground floor
there must be a living-room and a kitchen, on the first there is a study, a bedroom and a
bathroom. In my living-room I meet my guests, I make parties, I carry out family s
talkings, my living-room has a modern style. It s feature is a patina effect mirror frame.
Shelves are make in the alcoves and the dado rail runs round the edge of the shelves. In
the centre of the room there is a coffee table made by hand, it s really nice, a low table
with varnished legs. The walls in the living-room have stripy effect. If you want to make
such halls in your house buy a window scraper, cut out sections to make small fingers in
the rubber then drag downwards and paint walls to create a stripy wave effect. The focal
point of the room is the window. There is a beautiful view from it and also a light green
cotton curtains with green leaves cover the window and make it cosier. Another room which
is situated on the ground floor is kitchen. It s quite big, made with brown and chrome
colours. The clean modern design retains the warmth and tradition of the family hearth and
blends the clean modern lines. The floor in my kitchen is fitted with a special non-slip
vinyl flooring to gave the room cohesion. The one end wall is painted with a strong burnt
orange colour to give a more traditional flavour to the room. And the other walls contrast
with a touch of a light coffee. Kitchen units are also modern and exclusive. The light
wood effect kitchen units are situated in the centre of the room and fitted with chrome
appliances to enhance the modern feel of the kitchen. The focal point of the room is a
Period style fireplace. It s a very expensive model. The working surface and the splash
backs are tiled with nickel. Now we go upstairs and we are in the bedroom. My bedroom is
made of light lilac colours. The walls are painted slightly different shades of lilac for
a touch of variety. The floor is sand and painted with white floor paint. Also stripy
textured rugs are laying near the beds for comfort and to soften the look. The feature of
the room is a padded headboard. It consists of 12 squares which are covered with fabric
and fitted into a large recycled silver frame. The wardrobe is painted in cream with
vertical gilding stripe. In an alcove area of the room there are shelves. They are painted
lilac and the edges painted in silver. There are 4 different panels of voile and organza
for the window dressing. It s an unusual point and I like it. |
